A good 5K pace depends on many factors such as age, gender, fitness level, experience, weather, and running terrain. Of course you may need to modify these numbers to take account of the local terrain - but these pace bands will help you along. In general, most runners consider the 8 minutes per mile to be a good 5K pace. The first thing you need to do is work out what time you want to run for the half marathon and find out how fast that is per mile, and then per 400m.
